Sofia Pastinen is completing an eight-month internship at Clinique Vivago. She is currently finishing the third year of her bachelor’s degree and is looking forward to supporting clients throughout her placement.

Her approach is person-centred and considers the different areas of each person’s life, including relationships, lived experiences, needs, values, and individual circumstances. Sofia places great importance on respecting each person’s pace and aims to provide a warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental space.

She is comfortable exploring a wide range of concerns, including relationship and sexual difficulties, sexual desire, intimacy concerns, confidence and self-esteem, body image, experiences of sexual assault, gynecological and urological concerns, the impacts of sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections, sexual identity and orientation, stress, anxiety, and emotional dependency.

Sofia primarily draws from a humanistic approach grounded in active listening, respect, empathy, and inclusivity. Through supportive counselling, she works alongside clients to explore their concerns and develop a deeper understanding of their experiences, needs, and personal realities.
