About the Vivago Mental Health Foundation
Vivago Foundation's Story
The Vivago Mental Health Foundation was born out of a deep commitment to mental health accessibility. On September 11, 2024, four core members of Clinique Vivago took a crucial step toward long-term change after witnessing firsthand the overwhelming demand for inclusive mental health care.
The initiative started during Projet Viv-Action Jeunesse, a two-month crowdfunding campaign from August 1 to September 30, 2024, aimed at funding free mental health services for young adults in Quebec with a focus on the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. With the generous support of individuals and organizations, including le Secrétariat à la jeunesse du Québec, the campaign raised an impressive $58,585.
Throughout the initiative, the team was continually reminded of the systemic barriers preventing marginalized individuals from accessing care. What started as a fundraising effort quickly became a call to action; one that could not be ignored. Determined to create lasting impact beyond a single campaign, they established the Vivago Mental Health Foundation to sustainably support mental health equity in the long term.
Vivago Foundation's Activities
The Vivago Mental Health Foundation is:
Expanding access to innovative, inclusive, and equitable mental health care by breaking down stigma and reaching more people in need through outreach and awareness campaigns.
Providing education and training to healthcare professionals and communities on how to better support marginalized communities, and how to provide inclusive and affirming mental health care.
Funding mental health services for underserved communities and individuals at the intersection of multiple marginalized identities.
