Tommy Khang Giang
(he/him)
Occupational Therapist
Tommy is a bilingual occupational therapist of Vietnamese-Teochew descent and a neurodivergent clinician with a passion for intersectionality, neurodiversity, geek therapy, critical disability studies, epistemic justice, JEDI (justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion) approaches, and the health of diverse Asian communities. He is also an active member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) JEDI Network.
His clinical approach is inspired by the ValMO (Value and Meaning of Occupation) model and the Japanese concept of Ikigai. He integrates a neuroinclusive, trauma-informed, and strength-based perspective, while maintaining a critical stance toward disability norms and a deep commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).
Passionate about board games and video games, Tommy enjoys helping people explore what brings them joy and meaning in their daily lives.
He is also certified as a group facilitator for the ReDO (Redesigning Daily Occupations) program, which allows him to offer group interventions.
