Tommy Khang Giang
(he/him)
Occupational Therapist

Tommy is a bilingual occupational therapist of Vietnamese-Teochew heritage and a neurodivergent practitioner with a strong interest in intersectionality, neurodiversity, geek therapy, critical disability studies, epistemic justice, JEDI (justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion) approaches, and the health of diverse Asian communities. He is also an active member of the JEDI Network of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
His clinical approach is inspired by the ValMO model (Value and Meaning in Occupation) and the Japanese concept of Ikigai. He integrates a neuroinclusive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based perspective, while maintaining a critical lens on disability and a deep commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI).
A passionate board game and video game enthusiast, Tommy enjoys helping others explore what sparks joy and meaning in their daily lives.
Tommy is also certified as a group leader in the Redesigning Daily Occupations (ReDO) program, which enables him to facilitate group-based interventions.
